EIRE Systems partners with a rapidly expanding Hyper-scale Data Center company for the management and support of their internal corporate Information and Communications Technology (ICT) operations for Japan. The company has been very successful in building some of Asia’s largest datacenters, at amazing speed, in order to meet the industry’s need for datacenter capacity. In Japan, the company operates multiple sites in the Greater Tokyo Area, with more sites planned in the very near future.
In taking on this challenge as an ICT projects delivery engineer for the Japan sites, you will be a critical member of a very exciting phase of the company's growth and development.
Role Overview:
IT Projects Delivery Engineer (Technical Delivery and Site Management - Projects and IT Operations)
Japan – Greater Tokyo
As the IT Projects Engineer, you will report to the Technical Director (or Asia Pacific Service Delivery Manager), and you will be the go-to on all things ICT Systems and Engineering for the Japan Datacenter Sites. The fundamental goal; deliver excellence in technical delivery of all ICT systems, to meet internal business outcomes and ultimately support external customer outcomes.
Run the project engineering activities and the day-to-day technical support escalations for the Corporate ICT environments of the Japan sites. Take control of site ICT related activities working with our key project and facilities providers, maintaining a substantial emphasis on service delivery to internal stakeholders. You will assist in the delivery of services and timeliness of all project/BAU items related to ICT through technical efficiency and experience, including working with existing service providers for delivery.
Role Requirements:
- 5 years’ experience of ICT Design, Technical Support and management. Networking, Storage, Compute, Virtualization, Desktop and O365 administration
- Bilingual Japanese & English.
- Strong time management skills
- Ability and flexibility to travel throughout Japan (primarily Greater Tokyo and Osaka)
- Strong communicator and ability to interact with all professional levels within an organization.
- Professional attitude with persuasive skills in making things happen
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Service orientated. ITIL experience.
Language Skill Requirements:
- Native-level Japanese
- English proficiency, including ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders outside Japan.
Role & Responsibilities:
Your objectives will be to:
- Ensure that all ICT services are delivered to meet the company’s business needs.
- Assist with transitioning ICT projects into business as usual.
- Adhere to ICT Architecture principles and strategies.
- Monitor and manage all ICT systems deployments.
- Undertake local ICT systems projects.
- Maintain ICT systems project documentation and records, include transition to business as usual.
- Building and implementing ICT on large scale complex construction projects and internal projects.
- Monitor and checking system's performance and developing system services.
- Coordinating with systems engineers and other professionals.
- Addressing manufacture or quality-of-work related issues.
- Any other tasks as may be assigned by the Operations or Technical Directors

- Identify cost saving opportunities and projects technology/service improvements
- Manage ICT issues and events with Operations, including event investigations, root cause analysis and problem management
- Assist in the successful resolve of post-construction related punch-list ICT items.
- Provide ICT systems design and technical support to DC project teams and DC Operations teams
- Assist and facilitate end user demonstrations in ICT systems and tools
- Ensure ICT system baselines are maintained, and new systems transitioned into that standard
- Ensure safe work practices are adhered to
- Ensure change management is adhered to
