EIRE Systems partners with a major financial institution in Tokyo, providing a team of technical consultants working within the global End User Technologies Group. It's an L3 level role with coverage across the global tech infra environment (100,000+ users), working with geographically distributed colleagues.
The Infrastructure Developer / DevOps Engineer role supports the global Communications and Collaboration systems environment including a variety of tools for chat messaging, desktop sharing, video conferencing software and telephony systems.
You'll perform a mix of Development and Operations Support work requiring not only systems infrastructure engineering and support skills, but also scripting and development work using agile concepts such as Kanban/Scrum, as we look to further automate many of our processes and end user toolsets.
Technical skills and experience:
We don't expect that you will be an expert in all of the areas below, but the following offers a guide to the types of skills and experience we're looking for.
- Scripting / Development with PowerShell, Python or .NET, including ability to create and program against REST APIs
- Windows or Linux System administration - configuration management, entitlement management, software installation
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts. E.g. experience with Wireshark and network infrastructure tools (firewalls, proxies, load balancers)
- Deploying and administering communications and/or messaging technologies (video/phone/email or chat) in an enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with some of the key platforms - Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, Symphony, Webex
- Deploying applications in cloud based infrastructure (Azure/AWS) that connect to existing on premises systems outside the scope of a single vendor.
- Applying security principles to infrastructure - a combination of detection and resolution of vulnerabilities, conducting application security architecture reviews for newly configured systems
