Network Infrastructure Decommissioning Analyst

Excellent opportunity for a processes-driven IT professional to make a meaningful contribution to a global financial firm's Data Security operations.

As a process owner for Decommissioning of network hardware and data, you will manage and track the series of steps through which network hardware and related IT assets must go at "end-of-life".

You will be the contact point for Network Engineers, Data Center Operations and other technology and business stakeholders regarding compliance with data decommissioning policies, processes and procedures. 

You'll define and document timelines, monitor progress and drive for completion within due dates, conduct audits to ensure processes are adhered to, and escalating issues as required.

Work to establish and improve proper reporting and transparency for senior management, and take proactive measures in collaboration with automation teams to help automate the process and to streamline the reporting.
 

Requirements:

This role requires a technically savvy, details-focused professional who has a of good practical understanding of various enterprise-scale networking technologies and data platforms.

Prior hands-on experience of data decommissioning (i.e. data wiping and device destruction processes) will be a distinct advantage.

  • Excel, PowerPoint, Splunk, Linux,
  • Basic scripting skills in Python / Shell / Perl may be advantageous.


Applicants must be residing in Japan with valid permission to work full-time in Japan.
