About the Job Role:

The Project Manager will play a key role in driving the delivery of assigned projects. This is a wide-ranging position, with many opportunities to gain exposure to some of the latest technologies available on the market. Duties will include and may not be limited to:

• Project planning to identify and address the technology, scheduling, and personnel issues pertinent to the implementation of an effective network/infrastructure build, expansion, upgrade, migration or relocation project.

• Leading meetings with project teams, vendors and clients to define design and installation requirements and schedules for IT, telecommunications equipment and low voltage cabling, and Security systems.

• Collecting, compiling, and analyzing quotations and vendor cost proposals.

• Reviewing designs for structured cabling systems for IT and Security

• Communicating and coordinating structured cabling and systems installation requirements, designs and schedules to MEP, facilities and construction vendors, and supervising installation activities on-site

• Lead and report on status meetings with product and construction vendors, building/facilities management providers and various other relevant client-side IT groups.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A track-record of success managing data cabling and technology infrastructure projects

• Organized, methodical Project Management skills, including scheduling, resourcing and vendor management, proposal justification and cost analysis and budget tracking.

• Technical knowledge of cabling infrastructure design and construction standards and experience working in the data cabling or IT facilities industry.

• Basic ability to read and understand architectural and electrical drawings.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Visio and MS Project

• Project Management certification advantageous e.g., PMP, Prince 2

Candidates should be detail-oriented, logical, have good communication and documentation skills, who also enjoy working in fast paced environments.

• Japanese & English – Bilingual

Location / Environment:

Work on-site and off-site, as project needs dictate, with and on behalf of multi-national corporate enterprise clients in the central Tokyo and surrounding areas.
