Network Engineer - Junior/Mid-level role: production environment support

Fantastic career opportunity for junior/mid-level Network Engineer (CCNA / CCNP level) for an immediate opening providing operations support and minor changes project work (DevOps) for the infrastructure that supports financial trading systems.

Working within a team of EIRE Systems engineers, learning from and reporting to a senior network engineer, this is an opportunity for a Cisco Networking professional, with 1-2 years hands-on experience supporting Cisco switches, routers and firewalls, to accelerate your networking career development. 


The Network Engineer will: 
  • Monitor the health of the network using various enterprise Network monitoring, analyzer and performance management tools
  • Manage and respond appropriately to alerts and users requests in accordance with corporate operational standards
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN problems, performance and security issues
  • Cisco switch and router and firewall maintenance
  • Plan for and execute change requests including firewall settings, device replacement, configuration changes and updates.
  • Adhere to Network Engineering documentation standards for all changes/requests
  • Create and update detailed network diagrams and reports
The successful candidate should have the knowledge required to support a live network environment including Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.

The candidate will work in the Tokyo region on-site at a Tokyo-based client, . 

Required Skills:
  • Relevant Networking certification such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional (CCNP).
  • Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining live corporate networks - monitoring, troubleshooting and executing changes to Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.
  • Knowledge and experience working with various network monitoring, analyzer and performance management tools
  • Team player and ability to demonstrate an inclination toward taking on new challenges
  • Be able to read, modify/create network diagrams, complete technical documentation, and develop procedural documentation using standard office tools such as MS Excel, MS Power Point, and MS Visio
